School-Based Services offer school site-based mental health services designed to help youth learn to succeed in school, and improve their grades, attendance, and interpersonal relationships with their peers and families. The therapist works closely with teachers, school staff, caregivers, parents, and students to improve students' functioning at school and home. Working with individual students and their families, the therapist evaluates each youth independently and develops a customized action plan to address each barrier to success. This position is for a therapist at Deer Valley High School in Antioch and is funded by John Muir Health.
The Clinician is responsible for providing high quality, trauma-informed therapeutic services and/or case management to a diverse population of at-risk youth, young adults, and families who may be experiencing barriers to receiving office-based behavioral health services. These developmentally appropriate, individualized services may occur in the community, school, office, or residential setting.
