Residential Youth Counselor - Avalon
 The Residential Youth Counselor is responsible for day-to-day care and counseling of at-risk teens with special needs in a residential treatment program. The Residential Youth Counselor provides high quality care and ensures the safety of residents, staff, and site in accordance with policy, helping to implement the treatment/behavior plans for each resident in collaboration with an experienced multidisciplinary team. The Residential Youth Counselor also dispenses medications when needed, helps residents to tend to their health and wellness, and may help residents to manage their schedule or attend outside appointments or activities. Participants have complex needs, and the Residential Youth Counselor builds relationships with them and their families in a supportive environment that utilizes a strengths-based, culturally responsive, trauma-informed approach and values compassion, respect, diversity, and accountability..
Residential Supervisor - Avalon
The Residential Supervisor for the residential program works with the Residential Manager in monitoring residents within the residence as well as staff assigned to that residence. The Residential Supervisor is also responsible for assisting the Residential Manager with scheduling of staff, crisis intervention, training, interviewing applicants, reference checking, and participating in agency in-service trainings.

Specialist Counselor - Turning Point

The Specialist Counselor is responsible for providing high quality employment and vocational services and

 

housing case management to participants living in Rising Oaks or Turning Point Transitional Housing

 

Programs. The phases of employment services include: program intake, engagement, assessment, job

 

development/job placement, job coaching, and follow-along supports. The Specialist Counselor develops,

 

builds and maintains a database of employer contacts to match the participant to a position based on

 

participant’s preferences and developmental needs. At least 65% of the work time for this position is to be

 

focused on working with the youth who are interested in employment, both onsite and in the community,

 

and in the community conducting job development with employers. In addition, the Specialist Counselor

 

may also be responsible for providing support services related to educational needs, housing preparation,

 

and/or independent living skills services when needed. This position will include networking with relevant

 

community-based programs.

Housing Supervisor - Turning Point

The Turning Point Lead Housing Supervisor is responsible for program operations at the transitional

 

housing program for homeless young adults, including the hiring, monitoring, scheduling, supervising, and

 

evaluation of residential counselors.  The Housing Supervisor directs house programming and oversees

 

staffing, staff training, and services to residents.  This position interfaces with community agencies serving

 

homeless youth to ensure that services are provided in a continuum of care and a collaborative manner.

 This position works with participants who have complex lives that may include drug and alcohol use. The

 

Program Coordinator will provide services within a strengths-based, culturally-sophisticated, family-

 

friendly environment that values respect, accountability, compassion, excellence, diversity, innovation, and

 

integrity.

Instructional Aide - Limited Term San Diego NPS

The Instructional Aide is responsible for assisting the Education  

Specialist(Teacher)with classroom activities involving youth and to work with

 

youth giving positive reinforcement and setting achievable academic and

 

behavioral goals. The Instructional Aide may teach in the absence of the

 

Teacher (if they possess a Substitute Teacher Credential).

This is a limited term 6 month position with possibility of extension.
