Training Description
Grief is our natural response to all significant loss – death as well as non-death losses - and yet so much is misunderstood about the process of grieving. One common misconception of grief is the belief that grief is primarily an experience of overwhelming sadness. Grief is actually a stressed-based response that is more effectively supported as anxiety than depression. This training offers trauma-informed insight, strategies, and tools to help SIY manage the distress of multiple losses and develop adaptive coping strategies. Participants will be informed through presenter instruction, a slide presentation, explanation of supportive tools and coping strategies, guided discussion, and Questions & Answers.
