Training Description
This training aims to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of trauma and sexual abuse among youth involved in the child welfare and juvenile justice systems. This training will also explore the intersection of trauma and sexual abuse with other factors such as race, gender, and socioeconomic status in the context of child welfare and juvenile justice systems. Participants will learn about the impact of trauma, how to recognize signs of sexual abuse, and strategies for supporting and advocating for these vulnerable youth.
Learning Objectives
· Participants will be able to identify at least 3 impacts of trauma and sexual abuse on system-involved youth.
· Participants will be able to identify at least 2 signs of trauma and 2 signs of sexual abuse in youth.
