Training Description

Given the trauma that system-involved youth and young adults experience, it's essential for service providers to understand the neurobiology of trauma to support them effectively. The training will cover complex neurobiological concepts into actionable, client-centered strategies; providers can reduce youth’s re-traumatization, prevent compassion fatigue, and improve overall care outcomes for system-involved youth and young adults.

Learning Objectives

  • Participants will be able to explain to system-involved youth and young adults at least one way sexual trauma impacts the brain.

  • Participants will be able to teach system-involved youth and young adults at least one strategy to regulate their nervous system.
