The Role of Adolescent Development, Social Influence and Peer Pressure on System-Involved Youth

Training Description

Peer pressure impacts many system-involved youth and at-risk youth. Developmentally, teens are seeking approval from their peers, placing them at heightened risk for succumbing to social influence. Join us as we provide an overview of adolescent development and the impact of social influence on teens. This training will equip participants to have conversations with system-involved youth about peer pressure as well as strategies to teach them for how to navigate peer pressure.

Learning Objectives

• Participants will be able to identify at least 1 characteristic of adolescence development.

• Participants will be able to identify and describe at least 1 way social influence affects teens.
