Training Description

This training focuses on understanding and supporting system-involved Transitional Age Youth (TAY) with both developmental and mental health diagnoses. Participants will explore trauma-informed care, culturally competent strategies, and cross-system collaboration to address the complex needs of these youth. By attending this training, participants will gain practical strategies for holistic identification of needs and strengths, crisis intervention, and transition planning, ensuring better outcomes for dually diagnosed system-involved TAY as they move into adulthood.


Learning Objectives

Participants will be able to:

·         Identify at least 3 common developmental disabilities & 3 mental health disorders affecting dually diagnosed TAY and explain how system involvement impacts their development and mental health;
