Training Description

One of the most significant challenges for supporting system-involved youth (SIY) is for them to be authentic & true to their interests, thoughts, values, passions, ideals, goals, core gifts, & strengths when interacting with others at home, school, & work. Another challenge for SIY is finding, following, & being with peer/adult healthy secure attachments that can help them to: be successful in relationships, academics, & career related activities; build networks of support; & avoid using drugs & compulsive behavior to self-medicate. To be successful relationship partners within their own families, peer groups, & professional relationships, SIY need to know how to broker win/win outcomes for their relationship transactions so they can minimize negative outcomes & maximize success in life’s important activities. In this training, we will explore how to help SIY honor & empower themselves to reduce personal & social anxiety & foster their own security…
