Strategies to Utilize Art and Play with System-Involved Youth

Training Description

Art and play have been effective strategies to support the safety and well-being of system-involved youth as it gives them another outlet besides talking. This training will discuss how art and play practices can be utilized with system-involved youths to support emotional regulation, resilience, and trauma-informed care practices. Participants will  also learn strategies to utilize art and play with younger and older system-involved youth.

Learning Objectives

• Participants will be able to identify and implement at least 1 art strategy to support system-involved youth experiencing anger.

• Participants will be able to identify and implement at least 1 art strategy to support system-involved youth experiencing anxiety.
