Training Description
It’s important for social service providers, foster parents, guardians, and natural supports to have ongoing dialogue with system-involved youth about dating, boundaries, and sex. Without these conversations, system-involved youth are left to navigate these topics on their own or with their peers. This training will equip participants to have these crucial conversations which can help promote safety, well-being and positive outcomes for system-involved youth.
Learning Objectives
Distinguish between healthy and unhealthy boundaries when working with system-involved youth by identifying at least one example of each.
Explain four strategies for carrying-out conversations with system-involved youth about dating, sex, and boundaries.
