Training Description
This training will help provide strategies for talking with system-involved youth and their families impacted by addiction. The training will provide comprehensive education on various substances, their effects, and the risks associated with their use. It will include teaching effective coping mechanisms for anxiety management and peer pressure, promoting healthy alternatives to substance use, and discussing the consequences of addiction on physical health, mental well-being, and legal standing for system-involved youth and families. The training will emphasize the importance of understanding addiction as a medical condition, reducing stigma, and encouraging help-seeking behaviors through access to supportive resources and community networks. This training not only provides education about addiction treatment but also provided guidelines for how to deal with untreated addiction with system-involved youth and their families.
