Training Description

This foundational training builds participants’ communication skills for effectively giving and receiving feedback in settings that support system-involved youth or youth at high risk of system involvement. Participants will explore common fears and barriers to clear communication, as well as strategies for engaging feedback with intention and care. The session introduces practical communication frameworks for offering feedback in ways that promote clarity, trust, engagement, and collaboration, and for responding thoughtfully when receiving feedback from system-involved youth and others. By strengthening these communication skills, participants will be better equipped to support youth effectively, maintain relationships, and contribute to family-centered and child-serving environments to help system-involved youth achieve positive outcomes.
