Training Description

Compassion fatigue and burnout are major contributors to declining motivation and employee attrition in supportive care agencies. This training offers education on understanding the causes and effects of compassion fatigue and burnout on supportive care providers. It also provides strategies and tools for bolstering the resilience of service providers working with system-involved youth. Participants will be informed through presenter instruction, a slide presentation, coping strategies, supportive tools, and guided discussion that can be applied to support effective service delivery and improve outcomes for system-involved youth.


Learning Objectives

  • Participants will apply five steps for emotional processing as a prevention strategy for compassion fatigue and burnout for service providers working with system-involved youth.

  • Participants will acquire two tools for practicing mindful self-compassion to build resilience that minimizes compassion fatigue and burnout.
