Training Description

This training builds off “Navigating Difficult Conversations with Youth about Social Injustices” and continues to explore structural racism and oppression. Participants will learn how structural racism exists within the child welfare system, the healthcare system and educational system. Participants will also learn about implicit biases. The training will end with strategies to address these issues within our organizations. “Navigating Difficult Conversations with Youth about Social Injustices” is a prerequisite.

Learning Objectives

  • Participants will be able to describe structural racism

  • Participants will be able to describe one example of structural racism within the medical field.
