Training Description
This training will support participants in developing tools and strategies to engage in somatic-based practices that strengthen support and improve outcomes for youth who are system involved or at high risk of system involvement. By centering the body rather than the mind, participants will explore how somatic awareness can support the embodiment of various challenges faced by youth who are system-involved or at high risk of system involvement particularly in high-stakes and relationally complex contexts. Through guided reflection and collective practice, participants will identify what becomes available when they work from the body—such as increased presence, regulation, and relational attunement—and how these practices can be applied in their work with system-involved youth and families to promote safety, reduce harm, and support more effective care.
