Training Description
CSEC 101 is a 1-day training that provides a comprehensive overview of CSEC. The training will discuss CSEC by looking at the victimization of youth as well as the demand side of exploitation. The trainers will discuss risk factors and pathways of entry for all those involved in CSEC. The trainers will highlight populations that are disproportionately impacted by CSEC such as the Native American population, LGBTQ youth, etc. Lastly, the trainers will discuss identifying youth involved in CSEC and needs they have.
Learning Objectives
- Participants will be able to define CSEC
- Participants will be able to identify at least 3 risk factors for involvement in CSEC
- Participants will be able discuss one population disproportionately impacted by CSEC
- Participants will increase their ability to identity youth as CSEC
- Participants will be able to identify at least 3 needs CSEC have
- Participants will be able to identify youth who are involved in CSEC
- Participants will be able to share information learned with colleagues
- Participants will be able to work with their team on CSEC prevention strategies.
