Training Description
When working with youth, it is important to hold the complete version of who they are. Where do they come from? What stories do they carry? What is their lineage? What wisdom do they hold? This training will support participants in creating safe spaces where youth can explore ancestral grief and intergenerational trauma with the intention to uncover ancestral knowledge and wisdom. Participants will be able to mirror and identify youth's generational patterns and strengths providing more insight on healing practices.
Learning Objectives
• Bring awareness to the ancestral grief and intergenerational trauma that participants and their clients carry.
• Introduction to the indigenous mind framework and the ancestral wisdom that participants hold.
• Uncover collective narratives and how they impact clients.

This course meets the qualifications for (3.75) BBS CEUs for LCSWs and MFTs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences & is provided by Fred Finch Youth Center, CAMFT Provider #045295.
