Training Description
One of the most significant challenges for those supporting system involved youth who have experienced health disparities is to effectively engage them in managing their energy in the face of being burdened by compulsive Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) responses to trauma triggers. One solution is to coach System Involved youth on Alternative Somatic Healing Practices that are sustainable and lead to improved life, academic, & career outcomes. In this training, we will explore how to enhance our capacity to support system involved youth by exploring Alternative Somatic Healing practices that prepare us to foster young people’s emotional development and wellbeing, strengthen their resilience and ability to heal from traumatic events, and build meaningful relationships.
