Training Description
Understanding depression and anxiety is a key element in promoting wellbeing in System Involved Youth. The emotional health and wellbeing in System Involved Youth can be compromised and disrupted due to the extenuating life circumstances and experiences they endure. Â This manifests for many System Involved Youth who face challenges with mental illnesses such as depression, anxiety, anger and other illnesses.
This course lays an educational foundation for understanding emotional health as well as techniques, tools and skills to develop an internal process for coping with emotional experiences such as depression, anxiety and anger. Â Training Participants will learn a simple Skills Based System to support System Involved Youth in their emotional health as well as techniques to develop an internal processing system to cope with emotional challenges.
Learning a basic education through awareness of what our emotional experience is and the intelligence we can achieve from this awareness can lay a foundation for improved emotional health. Â Upon this foundation it is possible to improve emotional health using a Skills Based System of tools and techniques to both improve emotional health and establish a greater sense of wellbeing thus improving quality of life for System Involved Youth.
Learning Objective
- Participants will receive a foundational education on depression and anxiety in System Involved Youth.
- Participants will understand how emotional health affect System Involved Youth and how this can manifest in anxiety, anger and depression.
- Participants will learn a Skills Based System of tools and techniques to better support youth to identity and process emotional experiences both internally and externally using techniques focusing on physical movement and mindfulness practices.

Tory Ponsford is the Co-Founder of Evolution Consulting Firm. He brings over 25 years of professional experience to the team. His focus throughout his career has been primarily on Finance and Small Business Development. Over the last several years, Tory has developed his understanding of Emotional Intelligence (EQ) and it’s importance in the business context. Tory specializes in teaching individuals how to develop Emotional Intelligence (EQ) and optimally utilize EQ development to improve overall professional performance. Working with leadership teams to integrate all aspects of business intelligence has been a key focus for Tory. Tory is a Certified Awakening Excellence Instructor with the Total Integration Institute.
Michele Ponsford is the Co-Founder of Evolution Consulting Firm. She has developed her career in the San Francisco Bay Area over the past 20 years. Her experience in Business Management has deepened her understanding of the value of breathing humanity and morality into business globally. Consulting with businesses to evolve into purpose driven entities has become her current passion. Michele specializes in teaching conscious business communication techniques, creating healthy business cultures & relationships as well as implementing core values into systems & operations. Michele is a Certified Awakening Excellence Instructor with the Total Integration Institute.
