Training Description
Many system-involved struggle with anxiety so it’s crucial for those who support them to understand the different types of anxiety disorders and know how to effectively support youth and young adults. This training will provide an overview of DSM-5 anxiety disorders as well as practical strategies which can be used to support system involved youth and young adults struggling with anxiety.
Learning Objectives
· Participants will be able to identity one symptom of anxiety.
·  Participants will be able to identify at least one strategy to support system-involved youth with regulating their anxiety.
·  Participants will be able to identify at least one strategy for teaching system-involved youth a breathing technique to calm their anxiety.

Meet Our Trainer
Nicole Klasey is a clinical psychologist who has worked with trauma survivors for 14 years. She currently consults with agencies on trauma-informed care, programming for commercially sexually exploited youth, vicarious trauma, and leadership development. Nicole has been training multidisciplinary audiences on trauma-related topics since 2015 and provides guest lectures at local universities on human trafficking.
Jessika Fuhrmaneck is a writer and public speaker who has been a dedicated advocate for the support and recovery of persons who have been exploited in the commercial sex trade and experienced trauma. She uses her lived experience to help train organizations across the country to advise and assist in developing trauma- informed programs and practices for working with trauma survivors. She has trained multidisiciniplinary audiences throughout California on trauma and commercial sexual exploitationÂ
This course meets the qualifications for (3.75) BBS CE hours for LCSWs, LMFTs, LPCCs, and LEPs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences & is provided by Fred Finch Youth Center, CAMFT Provider #045295.
