Training Description
To effectively support system-involved youth it's necessary to involve their parents or careivers. However, many social service and behavioral health providers have struggled to work with their parents. In this training, you will learn common challenges to engaging parents and strategies to enhance engagement with them.
Learning Objectives
1. Participants will be able to identify at least 1 barrier to supporting parents or caregivers of system involved youth
2. Participants will be able to identify at least 1 reason why it’s important to involve system involved youth parents and/or caregivers.
3. Participants will be able to identify at least 1 strategy to engage system involved youths’ parents and/or caregivers.
