Training Description

The topics of vicarious trauma and compassion fatigue has been gaining momentum in the social services and behavioral health field. Just as it’s important for providers to help ensure they are effectively preventing and/or managing vicarious trauma, it’s important to teach parents and caregivers of system involved youth to take care of themselves so that they can most effectively support the youth under their care. This training will teach practical skills for educating parents and caregivers about strategies for preventing and managing vicarious trauma and compassion fatigue, including addressing associate barriers, and helping parents and caregivers create a plan to prevent and/or manage vicarious trauma and/or compassion fatigue.
