Training Description

As young people transitioning out of the foster care system, it is important for them to learn leadership skills such as communication, the ability reframe situations, and the importance of building trust with others. It is also important for leaders to understand what is happening for themselves and others around them emotionally and how to regulate their emotional experience.  In this training participants will learn how to support system involved transition age youth (TAY) in having an empowered conversation and the ability to make an empowered request. The participants will also learn how to support system involved TAY in learning to reframe mistakes into learning opportunities. Participants will also learn easy to teach techniques for building trust and emotional self-regulation.
