Training Description
Trauma can impact one’s understanding and experience of intimacy, relationships and boundaries. Given the high rates of sexual abuse amongst system-involved youth, it’s important for those who support them to understand how sexual abuse skews one’s attitudes, beliefs and behaviors about relationships and sex. Providers will learn strategies to help system-involved and transition age youth navigate healthier boundaries and sexual attitudes, beliefs and behaviors.
Learning Objectives
1. Participants will be able to describe at least one impact of sexual abuse on system involved and transition age youth attitudes towards sex
2. Participants will be to describe the sexual abuse mindset.
3. Participants will be able to describe healthy sexual attitudes.

Meet Our Trainers
Nicole Klasey is a clinical psychologist who has worked with trauma survivors for 14 years. She currently consults with agencies on trauma-informed care, programming for commercially sexually exploited youth, vicarious trauma, and leadership development. Nicole has been training multidisciplinary audiences on trauma-related topics since 2015 and provides guest lectures at local universities on human trafficking.
This course meets the qualifications for (3.75) BBS CEUs for LCSWs, LMFTs, LPCCs, and LEPs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences & is provided by Fred Finch Youth Center, CAMFT Provider #045295.
