Training Description

Trauma can impact one’s understanding and experience of intimacy, relationships and boundaries. Given the high rates of sexual abuse amongst system-involved youth, it’s important for those who support them to understand how sexual abuse skews one’s attitudes, beliefs and behaviors about relationships and sex. Providers will learn strategies to help system-involved and transition age youth navigate healthier boundaries and sexual attitudes, beliefs and behaviors.

Learning Objectives

1. Participants will be able to describe at least one impact of sexual abuse on system involved and transition age youth attitudes towards sex

2. Participants will be to describe the sexual abuse mindset.
