Training Description
One of the most significant challenges for clinicians these days is to effectively engage patients and clients away from the use of substances and process addiction behaviors into constructive, transformational behaviors that are sustainable, and lead to healthy community engagement. We will explore trauma releasing techniques from Peter Levine’s book, “Understanding Trauma” and learn how to raise our own “Shakti” energy by removing the trappings of our personal mind’s perceptions, and experience what it is like to be seated in our consciousness as illustrated in Michael Singer’s books, “The Untethered Soul” and “Living from a Place of Surrender”. Utilizing the methods outlined by both authors will empower us to deepen our effectiveness with system-involved youth and their families to support people towards healthier lifestyles.
