Training Description
Healing-centered engagement (HCE) is a progression from trauma-informed practice that combines our understanding of trauma with an explicit political and cultural lens and puts the emphasis on hope, imagination, and community. We will describe the purpose of the shift from trauma-informed to healing-centered work, assess how our organization can make a healing-centered shift, and make a plan to co-create a healing-centered environment in order to improve outcomes for system involved youth.
Learning Objectives
● Describe how the shift from trauma-informed to healing-centered work can positively impact outcomes for system involved youth and families;
● Identify how their organization can make a healing-centered shift to improve outcomes for system involved youth; and
