2004 ACHIEVEMENTS
• Provided high quality mental health services
to over 4,000 youth and families throughout California, in homes,
schools, shelters, and treatment facilities.
• Opened two new residential centers in
Vacaville and San Diego for youth dually diagnosed with emotional
disturbances and developmental disabilities.
• Expanded our Therapeutic Behavioral Services
program to stabilize children in foster care placements in Alameda,
San Francisco, San Mateo, and Contra Costa counties.
• Launched an in-home stabilization program in
Alameda County to prevent youth from being removed from their homes
due to psychiatric conditions.
• Provided therapeutic services for uninsured
children and youth in San Mateo County who are at risk of being
removed from their homes.
• Expanded the Parent Partnership Program to
provide professional peer support to parents and families in all
Fred Finch Youth Center programs.
• Developed Visiting Therapists Program to
provide consistent therapeutic support for foster care children and
families.
• Expanded school-based therapy services in
Alameda County and Contra Costa County and upgraded training program
for school-based staff.
• Launched a basketball team that allows our
youth to compete with teams in five local schools and develop
confidence, responsibility, relationship skills, and self-esteem.
