Fred Finch Youth Center Board and Staff

Fred Finch Youth Center (FFYC) is a not-for-profit, 501(c)3 tax exempt organization that provides innovative, effective, caring mental health and social services to children, young adults, and their families that allows them to build on their strengths, overcome challenges and live healthy and productive lives.

Our Services Include:

We serve children, adolescents, young adults and families facing complex challenges. All of our clients have mental or emotional impairments and many also have developmental delays. Many have experienced trauma and abuse, live at or below the poverty line; have been institutionalized or incarcerated, have a family member that has been involved in the criminal justice system; have a history of substance abuse; or have experienced discrimination or stigma.

We have the experience and cultural competency to effectively serve individuals from all ethnic, age and gender groups. Our team is a representation, and enjoys working with, the community we live in.

In Calendar Year 2008 our staff of over 300 served 1,456 unduplicated youth and families.

The majority of our services are funded by the state and counties with additional support from the federal Medicaid programs (Medi-Cal in California). We also receive public funding from California Department of Social Services; California Department of Education; California Department of Developmental Services; Housing and Urban Development; and Mental Health Services Act.

Because FFYC is committed to providing excellent services, we supplement government funds with general community support. This support comes from individual donations, grants, volunteer work, and annual events. Your support is critical to our success.

Our fiscal year 2008 annual operating revenue was $22,743,281.

Fred Finch Youth Center is accredited by the California Alliance of Children and Family Services (CACFS).

In addition, we are licensed by the California Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Divisions, at the following locations:
